Do you know the feeling when you think you are going to take a great picture just to have someone pop into it? Or see someone “unwanted” in them when you go through them later? For me this phenomenon appears each time my Chinese mother-in-law is around.
No matter where we are she jumps at each opportunity to be in the photo as soon as she sees me using one of the cameras. It got sometimes so bad that I secretly tried to use my camera or only used it when she was occupied harassing other people. Of course this does not always work especially when I try to take pictures of Nathan as she is never far away from him. She got even that good in getting somehow into the photo that I only realize her “being in the shot” when going through the material weeks later.
Do you have somebody who wants to be in each picture as well?

😂 That is some expert level sneaking in the (very cute) picture of Nathan.
But yes, I know the phenomenon. I’m more of a landscape/detail photographer but if you look through the photos with my husbands parents, you will hardly find one without someone striking a pose 😉
I have millions of pictures where MIL is striking some pose. It gets sometimes pretty ridiculous :p
Lol you MIL sounds like the champion photobomber 😑 Sounds very annoying when you are trying to get a shot of something lovely like a good scene or costume. Secretly using the camera is bad and the camera is also hard to hide. She probably thinks she looks good in photos.
A few times when I’m taking landscape photos, there will be a random group of guys come up and laugh and jump into my shot. Very annoying.

Yeah she kind of thinks that only pictures with her in it are any good. She wasn’t too pleased when Nathan had his Photoshot that she wasn’t allowed to be with him 😀
People jumping into pics are really annoying. Have also some experience when being out and using a stativ
Your camera must be nothing short of amazing, or your photo taking skills must be amazing. MIL strikes me as a person who moves and fidgets a lot, but in your photos she is not blurry 😀

I wish she could change her ego. You have to understand: she’s around my age!!
There’s no one I know like her who always wants to be in the photo limelight.
Very cute of Nathan in his monk-like robe.
The monk clothes are really good especially has he was able to wear them for over one year as they have so many folds.
MIL is just something else and I have the feeling that all people around her just somehow deal with this extra crazy. I’d say it is pretty impossible that she will change. So often she told my wife “I know I know, I won’t do it again” and latest a day later everything would be back as before

Haha imagine my surprise when I was going through the pictures as saw her in them! From the scene I have 20+ pictures where Nathan is running towards me and in each one you can see her face 🙂

That is a great photo of Nathan and MIL. At least she wants to spend time with him.
Jep she does not even want to give him to us.. or when her husband is with Nathan she takes him also away. She even does that when Nathan is with my father! Pretending to give my dad some snacks or drinks and in the same moment prying Nathan out of his arms. Very sneaky woman
Hahaha! I have the opposite problem. I want to take pictures of my dog but she doesn’t let me and always moves away!
I know the problem also. I tried so often to take good pics of our bunnies but they won’t cooperate at all!
Hahahhhaaa. OMG. I think your mother in law takes the cake, and the candles and the decorations, too.
How exasperating. 😛

Indeed it is working again for me! When I got your nomination I tried for three days to get a look at it but it crashed my browser each time however now it is working well. Will be writing about the Liebster Award within the next couple of weeks 🙂
